That’s a Russel Baker quote and I think we can all appreciate it right now! It's been almost unbearably hot, but I have to say, I've truly been enjoying it... that’s a rare thing for me to say because I LOVE cold weather.
The month of June has been so busy with weddings, photo shoots and well, life, that I think I forgot to blog.... oops! Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting pictures from some of the more memorable of my projects and jobs...
First on the list; a still life shoot with Hammondovi Photography. I asked Geoff to take some pictures of my makeup for me to use on my web site and blog... I think he did an amazing job, but you can decide for yourself!

Hayli, that's what!
Hayli is a student and two of her loves are shopping and hunting, so when photographer Eric Doggett was planning her shoot, he did a great job of finding a very unique way of bringing the two things together!
I was delighted that he asked me to be a part of the shoot and it was so nice spending time with Eric, Dave McLaughlin, another good photographer friend who assisted, and of course the star of the show, Hayli!
Enjoy the pictures!

What do you get when you combine photographer Jean-Philippe Martin, hair stylist Jeni Hoover, wardrobe stylist C.LO, models Rae and Summer and of course myself on makeup, for the BuyDefinition.com lookbook shoot?
Some amazing pictures and lots and lots of fun!!!
We shot at the home of Lee Ann Atherton, an amazing local musician. Lee Ann hosts the Full Moon Barn Dance on occasional full moon Sundays and some holiday Sundays at her home. Her house and yard are full of gifts from each and every Full Moon Barn Dance making it an amazing place to shoot!
Great job team!

We started out the shoot by meeting at my studio/house so I could do Cici's makeup. We chose a smokey eye and a nude lip that really accentuated her beautiful features!
Then we all headed down to Bull Creek by car and then by foot. It was a little chilly but the scenery was beautiful and we really enjoyed our walk.
Corey had already scouted out a great location with many different and wonderful places to shoot.
I must say, Cici was a real trooper because she didn't have the luxury of the long pants and jackets we did and the last shot required her to be in the water! It’s the mark of a great model when she will do anything for an amazing shot and we had plenty of towels on hand for her afterward.
The result, I'm sure, will be nothing less than outstanding and I really had a great time with all involved!

Today, I had a shoot with Geoff and Martina Hammond (of Hammondovi Photography), whom I have worked with countless times, and Elle LaMont.
Elle is an actress and model who has had bit parts in film and television, including NBC’s Friday Night Lights and lead parts and title roles in the features The Devil’s Gravestone, Hello, Lola, and Strings.
We had a wonderfully productive day and As always, I loved working with Geoff, Martina and Elle!
